1974年にアメリカでリリースされたインディペンデント・ジャズの名盤、バイロン・モリス＆ユニティの Blow Thru Your Mind のリイシュー。ユニティは、その名が示すように、当時の他の多くのスピリチュアル・コンシャス・グループと同様の価値観、目的、目標を持って結成された。ユニークだったのは、ジョン・コルトレーン、ファロア・サンダース、オーネット・コールマンの音楽的、精神的探求と、スティーヴ・ライヒらと共演経験のあるヴォーカリスト、ジェイ・クレイトンによってグループに持ち込まれた実験的なニューヨーク・アート・ミュージックの次元をうまく融合させたことだ。ベーシストのミルトン・サッグスはサン・ラーのアーケストラで演奏し、バイロン・モリスはオーネット・コールマンとラーサン・ローランド・カークに師事している。バイロン・モリスは、サン・ラー、アート・アンサンブル・オブ・シカゴ、ファロア・サンダース、スティーブ・リードの楽曲とともに、ソウル・ジャズ・レコードの初期のコンピレーション『Universal Sounds Of America』に初めて収録された。当初はユニティ自身のEPIレーベルからリリースされ、手売りされていたこのレコードは、25年以上もの間、アンダーグラウンドの名盤であり続けている。
