リットン・スプリングスの畑は、ソノマ群のドライ・クリーク・ヴァレーとアレキサンダー・ヴァレーを分かつ、テラス状台地と丘陵に広がります。樹齢100年を超えるジンファンデルの他、プティット・シラーやカリニャンなどの品種が混植されており、これらのブレンドが、ドライ・クリーク・ヴァレー産ジンファンデルの究極の逸品を産み出してきました。リットン・スプリングスの畑は30年以上に渡り、歴史的遺産としての古樹を守ろうとするリッジの取り組みの象徴となっています。

この畑は1日の寒暖差があり、夕暮れのそよ風がブドウからほてりを連れ去ってくれるジンファンデルの理想郷。この特異な気候と、砂利混じりの粘土質土壌の痩せた土地の影響を受け、ブドウはゆっくりと成熟します。収穫されたブドウは品種ごと、または区画ごとに天然酵母での発酵。マロラクティック発酵も天然の乳酸菌を用いた、前工業的とすら言える自然により近いワインメイキングを行うことで、古樹の個性が最大限に引き出された、豊かな風味とバランスに秀でた力強い骨格のワインが造られます。
